Net Zero Targets

Inmarsat has set a near-term science-based targets (SBTs) covering its Scope 1, 2 and Scope 3 emissions, which have been validated by the Science-Based Targets institute (SBTi). Our SBTs consists of the following targets:

• reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 Greenhouse Gas emissions by 64% by 2030 from a 2019 base year
• reduce absolute Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas emissions by 28% by 2030 from a 2019 base year

Our long-term science-based net zero target, which have been submitted to the SBTi for validation, includes:   

• Reducing our Scope 1,2 and 3 GHG emissions by 90% by 2050 from a 2019 base year. 
• Neutralising the residual emissions (10%) annually from 2050.
